e-Secured Payment Gateway for American Express Cards

Now you can pay through Banque Misr e-payment gateway using American Express card, in addition to VISA, Master Card or Local Credit/Debit Cards

Payment Transactions' Flow

Cardholder will access merchant site using internet browser, collecting items or services into his shopping  basket

When cardholder finishes, he asks for checkout.  We have two different merchant types:

  • Type 1 , the merchant web site contains checkout page where the cardholder places his card number The merchant site should therefore  support SSL (Secure Socket Layer)  to ensure site security
  • Type 2 , the merchant web site routes the cardholder browser to checkout page hosted at Banque Misr , where SSL is supported and enabled.

The checkout page will send the transaction data including card information to the eT3 e-Payment gateway located at Banque Misr

· The e-Payment gateway will check the message, if the card is an AMEX card, then the e-Payment gateway will forward the transaction to AMEX system where it is processed.  (Other cards are sent to  VISA, Mastercard or Banque Misr Host Systems)

The reply is returned to the cardholder, again through eT3 Payment gateways located at Banque Misr.
